Bridging the Knowledge Gap in Financial Stability
ISDIS is poised to redress this situation and its mandate is unique and three-pronged: training, research and advisory. It will address the training and certification needs of individuals, corporates, and sovereigns and empower them with the needed theoretical and practical knowledge about FSI operations and management. It will also collaborate with standard setting organizations to enhance the practice of financial safety-net and provide research, advisory and consultancy services on FSI space. ISDIS shall avail the knowledge of financial safety-net to those interested in pursuing careers or generally broadening their knowledge about financial system stability. Its target clients shall therefore, include but not limited to, employees of FSI agencies globally, students in higher institutions of learning pursuing degree or diploma courses in Banking and Finance, Public Administration, Economics and related disciplines, pupils in post-primary institutions who require sound foundational knowledge for smart decisions on future careers and courses of study, as well as, the general public that rely on informed decisions to effectively and efficiently manage their lives.
ISDIS training, research and advisory services are designed to provide clients with in-depth knowledge through interactive and blended learning processes and most training shall be delivered by internal and external subject matter experts in collaboration with local and international partners. The concepts and frameworks used in the training materials are products of existing institutions, especially those in the financial services space – World Bank, IMF, FSB, IADI, FDIC, NDIC Academy, etc.
