The first-ever bank deposit guarantee certification will imbue students, managers and leaders with requisite knowledge to operate at the emerging edge where global finance and business align with technology and ethics. It is open to students of tertiary institutions, DIS practitioners, employees in the financial services space and interested publics who require sound financial insights to manage their daily activities. The certificates have two levels – Basic and Advanced and they would be thought by highly-rated faculty of UNN Business School and ISDIS faculty who are experts in deposit insurance system. Admission will be on a rolling basis but classes shall begin four times – so four cohorts yearly.
Each cohort shall last for approximately twelve weeks, and the subjects to be covered include: Introduction to Deposit Insurance System, IADI Core Principles for effective DIS, Basic Account and Finance, Fundamentals of Human Resource Management, Financial Stability Board and related Institutional Arrangements, Fintech and Financial Services , Leadership in Corporate Organizations, Risk Management in Financial Institutions, including case studies on the operations and challenges of deposit insurance system in specific jurisdictions.
