Executive Leadership & Strategic Communication for Finance

Overview

The Executive Leadership Strategic Communication for Finance Specialization is a management-oriented programme that develops strategic leadership, human capital strategy, executive reporting, data storytelling and crisis communications within financial organisations. Content combines leadership clinics, succession and performance management frameworks, and practical communication workshops designed to align governance, strategy and people for resilient organisational performance.

The program is delivered via a self-paced online format. Assessment components include case-based assignments, a comparative policy brief and a virtual examination. A minimum score of 50% is required to pass. Retake opportunities are available for a fee of ₦20,000. To qualify, applicants must hold a B.Sc./HND or a diploma supported by a minimum of two years’ work experience, or be an Associate Member of a recognised professional body with at least two years of work experience. The application process is fully online via the UNNBS and ISDIS websites, where prospective students generate an application number, pay the required fee, and subsequently receive a registration number and admission letter upon completion. Examinations are conducted virtually.

The Governing Council may approve waivers on a case-by-case basis for applicants who provide evidence of satisfactory completion of relevant subjects; applicable waiver fees will apply.

This course is aimed at improving student’s communication and report writing skills. Taking this course enables you to communicate effectively and write good reports. The student will be taking through communication types and channels, discuss barriers to effective communication, plan, organise and produce a clear and good report.

Advanced Communication and Report Writing

In today’s highly competitive business environment organisations and institutions are always striving for outstanding performance leading to pressure on management to improve level of their organisational communication and report writing skills.
This course is aimed at addressing the gap. It has 8 modules that discusses on building a foundation for workplace communication strategy, setting clear goals in communication, turning managers into effective communicators, use of technology in communication, among many others.

Fundamentals of HRM

Human resource management ensures the effective utilisation of employees toward the attainment of individual, group and organisational goals. The course gives students an overview HRM and human resource planning, job analysis, human resource training, career development, performance management, motivation and reward management.

Ethical Leadership in Corporate Organizations

This course will expose the students to drills on trends of emerging and adaptive leadership competencies. It provides an overview of leadership in corporate organisations, issues of corporate governance, and fundamentals of strategic thinking, planning, corporate strategy and Business modelling. Understanding, corporate leadership balanced scorecard, why organisations and leaders fail, among many others.
