DR. KINGSLEY OLUCHUKWU NWAIGWE 

Nwaigwe, Kingsley Oluchukwu holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Nasarawa State University. He obtained a Master's Degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Lagos. He also holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy with Distinction from the Federal Polytechnic, Bida. He had a post graduate diploma in microfinance from St. Anthonio University, Manila, Philippine. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management, a Certified Risk Manager and Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP). He has a Masterclass Certificate in Business Management & Leadership from London Graduate School and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Specializing in Banking & Finance (Honoris Causa) from Commonwealth University, London. He is a Certified Management Specialist (CMS). He attended many professional trainings among which include Lagos Business School (Financial Analysis), Columbia University Graduate Business School (Executive Education program on Creating & Executing Breakthrough Strategy), Federal Reserve Bank, USA (Market Risk), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), US (Examination Management School, and Loan Analysis).He also attended training on Basel II & III and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS). 
He attended various International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) programs and made presentations. He has over 30 years experience in Banking Supervision, Deposit Insurance, Research and Strategy Development. He worked with Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) as Examination Assistant and rose to the position of a Director. During the period he worked as a Bank Analyst (Off-site surveillance) for 10 years, Bank Examiner (On-site examination) for 11 years, Research Executive for 8 years and Strategy Development Expert for 2 years.

Furthermore, Mr Nwaigwe is an expert in bank restructuring and failure resolution strategies having served in various Committees of NDIC/CBN to work out resolution options and restructuring strategies to address distress in the Nigerian Banking System. Also, he served in the Committee that developed the Framework for the Establishment of Pass-Through Deposit Insurance for Subscribers of Mobile Money Operators in Nigeria and has good knowledge in assessment of Level of Compliance with the IADI Core Principles for Effective Deposit Insurance Systems as well as Bank closing and Claims Settlement. He has published articles and presented papers locally and internationally as well as being a regular facilitator at the NDIC Academy and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Training School.
